After the reign of king Asa, compromise brought forth an exceedingly wicked king to Israel and the idols were reestablished in Judah. Josephat reminds us that we constantly need to guard ourselves against idols by keeping to God's Word. If we take care of these two aspects in life, we do not have to fear the ways of the world.
