  • How To Walk In Integrity
    Scripture: Proverbs 20:6-7 Wednesday, 03 July 2024
    6 Most men will proclaim each his own goodness,
    But who can find a faithful man?
    7 The righteous man walks in his integrity;
    His children are blessed after him.
    Proverbs 20:6-7
  • How a Servant of God Should Walk
    Scripture: Proverbs 20:1-5 Wednesday, 26 June 2024
    1 Wine is a mocker,
    Strong drink is a brawler,
    And whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
    2 The wrath of a king is like the roaring of a lion;
    Whoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life.
    3 It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
    Since any fool can start a quarrel.
    4 The lazy man will not plow because of winter;
    He will beg during harvest and have nothing.
    5 Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water,
    But a man of understanding will draw it out.
  • Biblical Wisdom for Practical Living
    Scripture: Proverbs 19:12-29 Wednesday, 05 June 2024

    12 The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion,
    But his favor is like dew on the grass.
    13 A foolish son is the ruin of his father,
    And the contentions of a wife are a continual dripping.
    14 Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
    But a prudent wife is from the Lord.
    15 Laziness casts one into a deep sleep,
    And an idle person will suffer hunger.
    16 He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
    But he who is careless of his ways will die.
    17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord,
    And He will pay back what he has given.
    18 Chasten your son while there is hope,
    And do not set your heart on his destruction.
    19 A man of great wrath will suffer punishment;
    For if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.
    20 Listen to counsel and receive instruction,
    That you may be wise in your latter days.
    21 There are many plans in a man’s heart,
    Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.
    22 What is desired in a man is kindness,
    And a poor man is better than a liar.
    23 The fear of the Lord leads to life,
    And he who has it will abide in satisfaction;
    He will not be visited with evil.
    24 A lazy man buries his hand in the bowl,
    And will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
    25 Strike a scoffer, and the simple will become wary;
    Rebuke one who has understanding, and he will discern knowledge.
    26 He who mistreats his father and chases away his mother
    Is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
    27 Cease listening to instruction, my son,
    And you will stray from the words of knowledge.
    28 A disreputable witness scorns justice,
    And the mouth of the wicked devours iniquity.
    29 Judgments are prepared for scoffers,
    And beatings for the backs of fools.
    Proverbs 19:12-29

  • Some Benefits of Biblical Wisdom/Beneficios de la Sabiduría Bíblica
    Scripture: Proverbs 19:1-11 Wednesday, 15 May 2024

    1 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity
    Than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
    2 Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge,
    And he sins who hastens with his feet.
    3 The foolishness of a man twists his way,
    And his heart frets against the Lord.
    4 Wealth makes many friends,
    But the poor is separated from his friend.
    5 A false witness will not go unpunished,
    And he who speaks lies will not escape.
    6 Many entreat the favor of the nobility,
    And every man is a friend to one who gives gifts.
    7 All the brothers of the poor hate him;
    How much more do his friends go far from him!
    He may pursue them with words, yet they abandon him.
    8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
    He who keeps understanding will find good.
    9 A false witness will not go unpunished,
    And he who speaks lies shall perish.
    10 Luxury is not fitting for a fool,
    Much less for a servant to rule over princes.
    11 The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger,
    And his glory is to overlook a transgression.

    Proverbs 19:1-11

    1 Más vale pobre de conducta recta
    que necio de labios perversos.
    2 Cuando no hay saber, no vale afán;
    pies apresurados se pierden.
    3 El necio arruina su destino
    y en su interior echa las culpas al Señor.
    4 La riqueza hace muchas amistades,
    pero al pobre hasta su amigo lo abandona.
    5 Testigo falso no quedará impune,
    el mentiroso sufrirá las consecuencias.
    6 Muchos buscan el favor del poderoso
    y todos se hacen amigos del espléndido.
    7 Si al pobre lo desprecian sus hermanos,
    con más razón lo abandonan sus amigos.
    8 El que adquiere cordura aprecia su vida,
    quien cuida la inteligencia halla la dicha.
    9 Testigo falso no quedará impune,
    el mentiroso perecerá.
    10 No es propio de necios vivir entre lujos,
    tampoco es de siervos gobernar a príncipes.
    11 Persona sensata domina su ira
    y tiene a gala disculpar una ofensa.
    12 La cólera del rey es rugido de león,
    su favor es rocío sobre la hierba.
    13 Hijo necio, desgracia del padre;
    mujer pendenciera, gotera incesante.
    14 Casa y hacienda, herencia de los padres;
    mujer prudente, regalo del Señor.
    15 La pereza hunde en la modorra,
    el indolente pasará hambre.
    16 Quien respeta el precepto respeta su vida,
    quien deshonra su conducta morirá.
    17 Quien favorece al pobre presta al Señor
    y recibirá su recompensa.
    18 Castiga a tu hijo mientras hay esperanza,
    pero no te obceques hasta matarlo.
    19 El violento cargará con su multa;
    si lo disculpas, empeorarás las cosas.

    14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness,
    But who can bear a broken spirit?
    15 The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge,
    And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
    16 A man’s gift makes room for him,
    And brings him before great men.
    17 The first one to plead his cause seems right,
    Until his neighbor comes and examines him.
    18 Casting lots causes contentions to cease,
    And keeps the mighty apart.
    19 A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city,
    And contentions are like the bars of a castle.
    20 A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
    From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.
    21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
    And those who love it will eat its fruit.
    22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
    And obtains favor from the Lord.
    23 The poor man uses entreaties,
    But the rich answers roughly.
    24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
    But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

    Proverbs 18:14-24

    14 El animoso soporta la enfermedad;
    al abatido, ¿quién lo levantará?
    15 Mente inteligente adquiere saber,
    oído sabio busca conocimiento.
    16 El regalo abre todas las puertas,
    introduce a cualquiera ante los grandes.
    17 Quien primero habla en un pleito
    cree estar en posesión de la razón,
    pero llega su adversario y lo desmiente.
    18 La suerte zanja disputas
    y decide entre poderosos.
    19 Hermano ofendido es fortín irreductible,
    las disputas son los cerrojos de su encastillamiento.
    20 Una persona se alimenta de sus palabras
    y se sacia con el producto de sus labios.
    21 Muerte y vida dependen de la lengua,
    según se utilice así será el resultado.
    22 Quien encuentra esposa encuentra un bien
    y obtiene el favor del Señor.
    23 El pobre habla suplicando,
    el rico responde con dureza.
    24 Hay camaradas que se destrozan,
    pero también amigos más íntimos que hermanos.

  • The Riches for Pursuing Wisdom
    Scripture: Proverbs 18:1-13 Wednesday, 24 April 2024

    1 A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire;
    He rages against all wise judgment.
    2 A fool has no delight in understanding,
    But in expressing his own heart.
    3 When the wicked comes, contempt comes also;
    And with dishonor comes reproach.
    4 The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters;
    The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.
    5 It is not good to show partiality to the wicked,
    Or to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
    6 A fool’s lips enter into contention,
    And his mouth calls for blows.
    7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction,
    And his lips are the snare of his soul.
    8 The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles,
    And they go down into the inmost body.
    9 He who is slothful in his work
    Is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.
    10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
    The righteous run to it and are safe.
    11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
    And like a high wall in his own esteem.
    12 Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty,
    And before honor is humility.
    13 He who answers a matter before he hears it,
    It is folly and shame to him.
    Proverbs 18:1-13

  • The Proofs of Biblical Wisdom
    Scripture: Proverbs 17:16-28 Wednesday, 10 April 2024

    16 Why is there in the hand of a fool the purchase price of wisdom,
    Since he has no heart for it?
    17 A friend loves at all times,
    And a brother is born for adversity.
    18 A man devoid of understanding shakes hands in a pledge,
    And becomes surety for his friend.
    19 He who loves transgression loves strife,
    And he who exalts his gate seeks destruction.
    20 He who has a deceitful heart finds no good,
    And he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil.
    21 He who begets a scoffer does so to his sorrow,
    And the father of a fool has no joy.
    22 A merry heart does good, like medicine,
    But a broken spirit dries the bones.
    23 A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back
    To pervert the ways of justice.
    24 Wisdom is in the sight of him who has understanding,
    But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
    25 A foolish son is a grief to his father,
    And bitterness to her who bore him.
    26 Also, to punish the righteous is not good,
    Nor to strike princes for their uprightness.
    27 He who has knowledge spares his words,
    And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.
    28 Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
    When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.
    Proverbs 17:16-28

  • The Importance of Attaining Wisdom to Accomplish God's Will
    Scripture: Proverbs 17:1-7 Wednesday, 06 March 2024

    1 Better is a dry morsel with quietness,
    Than a house full of feasting with strife.
    2 A wise servant will rule over a son who causes shame,
    And will share an inheritance among the brothers.
    3 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
    But the Lord tests the hearts.
    4 An evildoer gives heed to false lips;
    A liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue.
    5 He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker;
    He who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.
    6 Children’s children are the crown of old men,
    And the glory of children is their father.
    7 Excellent speech is not becoming to a fool,
    Much less lying lips to a prince.

    Proverbs 17:1-7

  • Avoid Planning Like the Evil Person/Evite Planificar Como Una Persona Malvada
    Scripture: Proverbs 16:26-33 Wednesday, 21 February 2024

    26 The person who labors, labors for himself,
    For his hungry mouth drives him on.
    27 An ungodly man digs up evil,
    And it is on his lips like a burning fire.
    28 A perverse man sows strife,
    And a whisperer separates the best of friends.
    29 A violent man entices his neighbor,
    And leads him in a way that is not good.
    30 He winks his eye to devise perverse things;
    He purses his lips and brings about evil.
    31 The silver-haired head is a crown of glory,
    If it is found in the way of righteousness.
    32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
    And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
    33 The lot is cast into the lap,
    But its every decision is from the Lord.
    Proverbs 16:26-33

    26 El ansia del que trabaja, trabaja para él:
    su boca lo estimula.
    27 El hombre perverso cava en busca del mal;
    en sus labios hay como una llama de fuego.
    28 El hombre perverso promueve contienda,
    y el chismoso separa a los mejores amigos.
    29 El hombre malo lisonjea a su prójimo
    y lo hace andar por mal camino;
    30 cierra los ojos para pensar perversidades,
    mueve los labios, comete el mal.
    31 Corona de honra es la vejez
    que se encuentra en el camino de la justicia.
    32 Mejor es el que tarda en airarse que el fuerte,
    el que domina su espíritu que el conquistador de una ciudad.
    33 Las suertes se echan en el regazo,
    pero la decisión es de Jehová.
    Proverbios 16:26-33

  • How To Plan With Integrity/Cómo Planificar Con Integridad
    Scripture: Proverbs 16:11-15 Wednesday, 31 January 2024

    Solomon continues to offer advice to his children on how to plan in integrity. Solomon gives them three points on how to plan God's way. Point Number One: Plan by Seeking After Righteousness Point Number Two: Plan to Find His Understanding and Point Number Three: Plan Seeking to use Pleasant Words. Let's learn together how to plan in Integrity together.

    Proverbs
    11 Honest weights and scales are the Lord’s; All the weights in the bag are His work. 12 It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, For a throne is established by righteousness. 13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings, And they love him who speaks what is right. 14 As messengers of death is the king’s wrath, But a wise man will appease it. 15 In the light of the king’s face is life, And his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain. 16 How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

  • Precepts to Building God's Church Part Two
    Scripture: Proverbs 14:16-35 Tuesday, 24 October 2023

    Solomon gives us some great advice in these verses we will be studying today. He let us know our homes have to be built upon the guidance of His Word and apply the Biblical Truth of the Scriptures within our homes. Solomon also will teach us how we are to develop the altars in our homes and use to direct our children. Let's go ahead and open our Bibles to Proverbs Chapter 14:16 and begin todays study on Precepts into building God's House Part Two.

  • Precepts into Building God's House
    Scripture: Proverbs 14:1-15 Tuesday, 17 October 2023

    Solomon was stressing the importance of how a wise woman should build her home and how a foolish woman would tear it down. Believers with integrity will follow God's precepts and apply them not only to their own lives but to the lives of their children. The prudent believer will understand how to build a godly home based on God's Word as its foundation but a foolish person will build on the faulty foundation of their self-sufficiency. Chapter 14 of Proverbs contains some very valuable principles that can benefit every person who applies God's wisdom in how they build their homes on God's foundation.
